The inhabitants, once suspicious of the girl, now found themselves plagued by feelings of guilt and wished to keep her with them. But, pointed to a greater task by the river, she decided to leave the village. With remorse and admiration, the villagers gave her the name Arisu - as a symbol of the purity and clarity of the water.
